Summit Scaffolding Auckland
Summit Scaffolding Auckland with branches in Auckland, Waikato, Northland, and the bay of Plenty strive to attain a ‘squeaky clean’ health and safety record by initiating intensive and ongoing staff certification and training keeping themselves ahead. All Summit crew are certified to Site Safe NZ competency – many exceeding the basic requirements.
In addition, Summit’s supervisors all hold next level Site Safe Gold Cards; many also holding international qualifications as extra certification along with many years of experience.
As a result our highly qualified team at Summit Scaffolding has attained injury risk management statistics that confirm their excellent workplace safety record.
Listed below are some of the many installation precautions we take to enable this safety record:
- 1000mm wide platforms that provide a safe, weight–sensitive and stable base
- Edge protection and guard rails that keep workers safe and materials enclosed
- Mobile scaffolding used as an alternative to extensive scaffolding to provide fast, safe, easy access to all project work areas
- Temporary fences that keep tools and equipment secure, hazards enclosed, and passing public safe
- Roof protection adjusted to the pitch angle preventing falls and protecting ground staff
- Shrinkwrap to weatherproof buildings and to contain pollutants, dust and debris
- Propping (falsework) that provide appropriate support equipment to uphold structures

Health and Safety: Summit Scaffolding
Scaffolding Health and Safety
By implementing clear health and safety directives creates a trackable follow-on effect. The erection of scaffolding, edge protection and containment requires a high level of training and supervision to maintain constant high standards with monitoring to ensure work place practice directives are adhered to.
We are fortunate with our affiliation to the governing body SARNZ (Scaffolding, Access and Rigging New Zealand Inc) and Site Safe NZ who continue to assist us with our allegiance to the mandatory SARNZ Good Practice 2016 Guidelines.
The team at Summit Scaffolding are very proud of our commitment to the Acuite Construction Intelligence Programme – a publicly accessible system which constantly monitors Summit Scaffolding’s health and safety performance, in real–time, and with audits at all sites on a regular basis.
- Summit Scaffolding are obliged to follow directives with compliance on:
- The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA)
- The Health and Safety in Employment Regulations 1995 (HSE Regulations)
- Health and Safety at Work (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016 (GRWM Regulations)
- SARNZ Good Practice Guidelines for Scaffolding in New Zealand 2016.
